Dr. Jegor Miladinović, Principal Research Fellow. He was born in 1968 in Novi Sad. In 1993 he started working as Research Assistant on soybean breeding at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Department of Soil Science, Agroecology and Mineral Fertilizers. He received his MSc degree in 1997 and defended his doctoral dissertation in the field of Genetics and Plant Breeding at the Faculty of Agriculture, Novi Sad in 1999. He was appointed Principal Research Fellow in 2007. He received post-doctoral specialist training in soybean breeding at the North Carolina State University, USA and Changchun University of Agricultural and Animal Sciences, PRC. He has authored or co-authored 160 research papers so far, co-authored one national monograph, 44 soybean cultivars released in the Republic of Serbia and 40 soybean cultivars released abroad. He participated in 9 national projects, in three as project coordinator. In 2000 he received „Lazar Stojković“ Award granted by Matica Srpska, and was appointed Honorary Life Member of Matica Srpska. Since 2008 he has been Vice President of the Commission for the Release of Varieties at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia. He was Head of Soybean Department in the period 2005-2011, and member of the Board of Directors at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops from 2010 to 2013. In April 2013 he was first elected as Acting Director, and then appointed Director of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in July the same year.
