Prof. Dr. Petar Sekulić, Principal Research Fellow in Agrochemistry and Full Professor of General Crop Breeding. He was born in 1956 in Dalj, Republic of Croatia, graduated at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Osijek, Croatia. He received his MSc degree in 1983 at the Faculty of Agriculture in Zemun, and PhD at the Faculty of Agriculture in Osijek. In the period 1986-1991 he was head of the Agrochemistry Department of the Faculty of Agriculture in Osijek, and director of the Agricultural Cooperative VUPIK from Vukovar in 1991-1993. He was Head of the Soil and Agroecology Laboratory at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in the period from 1995-2003, when he became Deputy Director, remaining on that position in the following three years. In the period 2006-2010 he was Director of the Institute, when he returned to Soil and Agroecology Laboratory. He authored 6 books and monographs, one book chapter, and 39 technical solutions. He authored or co-authored 38 papers in significant national journals, 8 research papers in international journals, held one plenary lecture and two introductory lectures at international scientific events. Twenty-six of his research papers were reported at national scientific events, printed as full text and 33 were reported at national scientific events, printed as abstracts. He coordinated 11 projects supported by the Ministry of Science of the Republic of Serbia, member of 6 thesis committees and 5 dissertation committees. He was President of the Scientific Board of Biotechnology and Agro-Industry from 2007-2010, and has been a member of the Scientific Board of planning, protection, management and use of soil since 2010. He was President of Serbian Soil Science Society in 2006-2010. He currently holds the position of Commercial Affairs Advisor at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops.
