Dr. Vojislav M. Mihailović, Principal Research Fellow, was Head of the Forage Crops Department in the period 1995-2012 аnd in 2013 was appointed Assistant Director for Organisation of Production and Product Placement. He was born in 1957 in Prijelozi, Bjelo Polje, Montenegro. He graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture in 1981, received his MSc in 1989 and PhD in 1994 at the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, in the field of Genetics and Plant Breeding. He started his career at DP PD OOUR Vojvodina in Novo Miloševo, аnd in 1982 he began to work at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad, as research trainee, in the field of breeding and selection of annual forage legumes. In 1987 he became Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, and in 1996 he was appointed Assistant Professor on Forage Crops. In 2005 he was appointed Principal Research Fellow. He authored over 500 research papers published as full text or as abstracts - articles in national or international journals, proceedings, chapters in monographs and reports from scientific events. He authored 52 forage crop cultivars released in the country, 34 as first author and 18 as co-author, and 18 cultivars released abroad, in the EU and other countries.
