Dr. Aleksandar Mikić, Research Assistant; born January 9th, 1974, in Pančevo, Serbia; presented his first review paper Elementary Particles on physics (1988); attended the course on archaeology at the Petnica Research Station (1992); got B.Sc. in Field and Vegetable Crops (1998) and M.Sc. (2008) and Ph.D. (2014) degrees in Plant Genetics and Breeding at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Novi Sad; as a reservist, participated in defending FR Yugoslavia from the NATO aggression (1999); since 2000, works at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad, Serbia, on annual forage legume breeding; deals with conventional and molecular genetics, genetic resources, breeding, agronomy, agroecology and crop history of annual legumes and forage brassicas; first author or among the authors of nearly 50 papers in the journals with impact factor, covered in the Thomson Reuters SCI, SSCI and A&H databases, as well as of nearly 200 papers in other international and national journals, around 80 international conference papers, one book, 7 book chapters and more than 30 annual legumes and various forage crop cultivars registered in Serbia and abroad; since 2013, Assistant Editor of the international journal Legume Perspectives and Executive Committee member and Secretary of the International Legume Society; one of the task leaders in the EU Framework programme (FP7) project Legumes for the Agriculture of Tomorrow (LEGATO, 2014-2017).
