Dr. Milisav Stojaković, Principal Research Fellow, was born in 1952 in Milivojevci, Republic of Croatia. He received his PhD in 1990 in Novi Sad. Since 1977 he has been permanently employed at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, first on sugar beet breeding (1977-1992), and then on maize breeding, where he is currently employed. He received his specialist training in 1987 in Wageningen, and from 1996-1997 at the University of Madison. His scientific contribution to plant breeding is reflected in over 150 research and technical papers published in national and international journals. He authored or co-authored 8 sugar beet hybrids and over 100 maize hybrids. He was member of the Institute Board of Directors from 2001 to 2003, and Deputy Director in the period 2006-2010.
