Dr. Ankica Dj. Kondić-Špika, Senior Research Associate, born in Novi Sad in 1971, graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture (Department of Field and Vegetable Crops) in Novi Sad in 1994, where she obtained her MSc degree in 1999 at the Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding. She finished a one-year specialization in molecular biology and plant transformation in 2000-2001 at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) in New Delhi, India. She received her PhD degree in 2005 at the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad. In the period from 1995-2001, she was employed at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, holding a scholarship granted by Ministry of Science and Technology of Republic of Serbia. She started work as a biotechnologist at the Small Grains Department of the Institute in 2001. She authored or co-authored 170 scientific works, one monographic study and a chapter in a national monograph.
