Third workshop of CHAIN project ”Agriculture in cooperation with nature” coordinated by Laboratory for Soil and Agroecology of the Institute of Field and Vegetable and Agricultural Land Agency from Osijek, and financed by European Union, was held on 10 June 2014 in Sombor.
Subject of this workshop was Land Parcel Information System (LPIS ) and it was held for agricultural producers and pupils of Secondary Agricultural School in Sombor.
According to project manager Dr. Tijana Zeremski, land information system is obligatory for every EU country , which means that it will also be required in Serbia when it enters the EU.
Dejan Serdar, economist and lecturer at the workshop said that Land Parcel Information System is required in order to create favourable conditions for use and monitoring of agricultural subventions. This system is a warranty that there is no misuse during subvention delivery per hectare and should be used to the maximum.
